ZARAN works in partnership with a number of funders who support our work on Human rights and HIV and AIDS. The current partners supporting the work of ZARAN are:
Diakonia
Diakonia is a joint international development organization of five Swedish churches. Diakonia works within a number of thematic areas. ZARAN has been supported mainly through the Human Rights theme while also working on mainstreaming the problems caused by the HIV and AIDs pandemic.
The Southern African AIDS Trust (SAT)
SAT is an independent regional NGO that supports community responses to HIV and AIDS through community capacity strengthening and in-depth partnerships to enhance community HIV and AIDS competence.
ZARAN has been supported by SAT to implement skills-building activities and capacity strengthening in prevention, care, treatment and support, advocacy, information exchange and networking.
The Zambian Governance Foundation
ZGF funds the capacity building of NGOs to promote civil society development in Zambia. The Foundation is providing assistance to ZARAN to develop ZARAN’s capacity to further its objectives.
Save the Children Sweden
SCS’s work with organizations such as ZARAN in Southern Africa focuses on creating an enabling environment for children to enjoy their rights by encouraging the elimination of violence and abuse of children, poverty reduction, promotion of non-discriminatory practice and child participation to prevent the spread of HIV and AIDS and mitigate against its impact on the lives of children.
The Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa (OSISA)
OSISA works in a number of Southern African countries supporting advocacy work. ZARAN has worked in partnership with OSISA for over 2 years in advocacy on shared objectives and goals.
Norwegian Students’ and Academics International Assistance Fund (SAIH)
SAIH supports local organisations and institutions working with higher education, research and capacity building in Southern Africa and other parts of the world. ZARAN has worked in partnership with SAIH for over 3 years related activities with SAIH and achieving similar objectives.
