The Zambia AIDSLaw Research and Advocacy Network (ZARAN) is a not-for-profit organisation that champions the human rights of people living with or affected by HIV and AIDS in Zambia.
Founded in 1999 as a student association at the University of Zambia, ZARAN is now a well-established organisation, the only one in Zambia to focus exclusively on a rights-based approach to the HIV and AIDS response.
Our vision
A Zambia where all individuals equally realise their full potential and enjoy life.
Our mission
ZARAN adopts a human rights approach to address the legal, policy and ethical challenges posed by HIV and AIDS.
The tools we use to further this mission are legal support, advocacy, research and communication.
